Stegosaurus

• Stegosaurus was an armored dinosaur. It had large bony plates on its back and spikes on its tail.
• Stegosaurus had a small head and a short neck. Its body was large. It weighed about the same as a car.
• Scientists have not found Stegosaurus’s skin so they don’t really know what color or design the skin might have had. Ask: What color do you think the Stegosaurus was? Do you think it had a special design?
